Itinerary Overview

Serengeti is undoubtedly one of the best-known wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Very well known for its endless plain named by the Maasai as ‘’serengit,’’ . These 4 days Serengeti road safari departing from Arusha offers travelers an amazing safari experience with accommodation in quality lodges or camps including six exciting, private game drives in Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater.

A typical Safari Itinerary is listed below. Note that prices vary depending on the month or season of travel, with July to October being peak season while April to mid-June is low season.

Day 01: Start of your Safari from Arusha

Our driver guide reports to your hotel for Start of the safari, with a 8 – 8.30am departure for a scenic drive to Serengeti, Tanzania’s premier game reserve. You will be in your own private safari vehicle. Arrive at Serengeti for lunch. The afternoon gamedrive at 3.30 pm allows spotting of the unrivalled wildlife in the park. Return to your lodge by 6.30pm.

Day 02: Enjoy Full day in Serengeti

You enjoy two gamedrives today, one in the morning at 6.15am, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch. As your safari is private your gamedrive timings are flexible, useful if you are travelling with children, or are on a honeymoon. You may also choose to have a full day gamedrive [ one for the whole day] with a packed picnic lunch at no extra cost. You may want to add a Maasai Village visit or a Hot air Balloon ride into your safari [ Optional activities at additional cost – please enquire with us ]. Return to your lodge by evening.

Day 03: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After a relaxed breakfast & check-out, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation area, with a shorten game drive en-route. Arrive at your overnight lodge in time for lunch. Ngorongoro Serena lodge is a luxurious camouflaged safari haven set high on the largest caldera in the world and cushioned in the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, Tanzania. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 04: Half Day Game drive at Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha:

After an early breakfast, your Driver collects your lunch boxes after which you proceed with a descent into the stunning Ngorongoro Crater for a full day safari game drive. After midday, stop at a scenic spot in the crater next to the hippo pool for your picnic lunch, at this point you will be able to stretch your feet and visit the washrooms. The Ngorongoro Crater is recognized as a UNESCO protected World Heritage and forms part of an international biosphere reserve. After lunch, ascend the crater and onward departure for Arusha. Arrive Arusha by early afternoon [ typically by 4.30pm] . Drop off at your hotel, or free onward transfer to the airport for your flight home.
